Honda Powersports’ mission statement is this: “Maintaining a global viewpoint, we are dedicated to supplying products of the highest quality, yet at a reasonable price for worldwide customer satisfaction.” (Emphasis by me)
Honda Powersports lives to produce high-quality products at affordable prices – a motto that they have backed ever since they went into business over 50 years ago. Regardless of if it’s an automobile (like the Accord or Civic) or an MX bike (like the CRF450), Honda makes quality and performance the utmost priority. It’s due to this attention to quality that they are world-renowned as one of the most successful and prestigious automotive providers in the world.
Honda Company History
In October 1946, Soichiro Honda established the Honda Technical Research Institute in Hamamatsu, Japan, to develop and produce 2-cycle motorbike engines. The company was met with several difficulties early in its career, but it persevered, and by 1959 it had grown large enough to warrant a storefront in Los Angeles. The store had six total employees.
By 1964, Honda Powersports was the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles. Their reputation and profits continued to grow with the introduction of their first car around the same time. Over the next several decades, Honda would establish itself as a provider of quality vehicles and power engines at affordable prices.
Today, Honda Powersports still holds that reputation and continues to produce award-winning cars, SUVs, motorcycles, and power sports equipment. Also, they continue to place innovation, safety, and the environment at the forefront of their operation.
