I paid $2.95 for all the parts for this homemade clutch holding tool, granted, you may pay more or less depending on where you live, but no matter what it will be cheaper than a store-bought clutch tool!
*I have never had an issue with this setup, but I have had 2 people tell me they broke their bolt standoffs, so be careful!*
Clutch Holder Tool Parts
- 1 X 3ft piece of slotted angle iron
- 1 x Bolt
- 1 x Nut
- 2 x Washers
Tools
- Pliers
Step 1: Cut The Angle Iron At 1/3 Length
Step 2: Align The End Of The Angle Iron Pieces
Step 3: Secure The Two Pieces With The Bolt, Nut And WashersStep 4: Make Sure The Two Pieces Move Smoothly From 90° To Close
Step 5: Use The Existing Clutch Spring Retaining Bolts To Secure The Tool to The Clutch InnerThat was an easy way to save a load of money!
